RUNNING CAMP - $100.00
JUNE 1ST - JULY 30TH
Deadline: June 13, 2026
Early Bird Discount - Ends April 10th
Running is one of the most essential components for any athlete to perform at their best. In sports like soccer, players can run up to six miles per game, while basketball players may cover up to three miles. Endurance and stamina are critical to success across all sports.
In today’s culture, many teams use running as a form of punishment, and some clubs even view it as a waste of time during warm-ups or training. However, at Rocky FC, we believe stamina and endurance are fundamental building blocks for athletes—not just in soccer, but in any sport.
This camp is open to both boys and girls ages 11–16. Runners from all sports, including track and cross country, are encouraged to join and train with our club. We will meet at a designated location and follow a structured running plan designed for young athletes. Participants will be introduced to pace running, target heart rates, endurance training, and interval work. We will also focus on proper running form, including arm movement, foot placement, and breathing techniques—all with the goal of helping each athlete run faster and longer by the end of the summer..
Location: Camara Park, Glendale Heights, IL

Runners will meet at Camara Park and begin promptly at 5:00 PM. The course will remain the same throughout the week and will change every Monday. On Fridays, runners will be timed on their laps to track progress.
Participants should come prepared with proper running attire, sunscreen if needed, and any required medical equipment. Athletes must be able to advocate for themselves by asking for breaks when needed and informing coaches if they experience any pain. All runners must bring their own water and wear comfortable running shoes. Depending on the day, athletes may run both in groups and individually.
